Abhishek Shukla, an Australian citizen, was arrested at Mumbai airport for defrauding a Pune woman of ₹3.6 crore under the guise of marriage. Using the fake profile ‘Dr Rohit Oberai’, Shukla connected with over 3,194 women, convincing the victim to invest in a startup. Additional Commissioner of Police Pankaj Deshmukh stated that Shukla primarily targeted divorced women.
