Pete Hegseth, a Fox News host and Army veteran, has been chosen as US Secretary of Defence by President-elect Donald Trump. Hegseth, 44, joined Fox News in 2014, co-hosts 'Fox & Friends Weekend', and is a host for Fox Nation. An infantry captain in the Army National Guard, he served in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Guantanamo Bay, earning two Bronze Stars.
