Kunal Sood, anaesthesiologist and pain medicine physician, said walking might be more effective for fat loss than running. He stated running will burn more calories but it can make some people more hungry, making it harder for them to achieve a calorie deficit. "Running does have other advantages like for some people it can improve their mental health," Sood added.
