BKC police filed an FIR against two persons, Akshay and Hitesh Kumar, for allegedly cheating Kantilal Chhotalal Diamond Company and Rajdoot Gems Company of ₹1.65 crore. The Kumars took diamonds for sale, but neither sold the gems nor returned or paid for them. In a similar case, Santosh Lonandkar was allegedly defrauded of diamonds worth ₹3.6 crore by an associate.
