The MP High Court expressed shock over "repeated instances of caste-related violence" and discrimination in the state. "Each caste has become vociferous and ultra conscious of its caste identity...Persons refer to themselves as Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas, Shudras," it said. If this continues, "people who call themselves Hindus will cease to exist, fighting amongst themselves," it added.
