At least six people were killed and over 40 others were injured after a stampede broke out at Andhra Pradesh's Tirupati temple on Wednesday. Tirupati Municipal Commissioner N Mourya said, “The stampede occurred [near Vaikunta Dwara Darshan ticketing centre] when nearly 5,000 people came together at a time [to get tokens]." CM N Chandrababu Naidu expressed grief over the deaths.
