Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced on Teachers’ Day that all government teachers in the state will now be eligible for cashless medical treatment. The facility will cover teachers employed in government primary, upper-primary, secondary, and aided schools and colleges, as well as shiksha mitras, instructors and cooks, he said. The CM called it a "historic" move.
