In his first address to the media, Pope Leo XIV on Monday called for the release of journalists jailed "for seeking and reporting the truth". He also urged journalists to focus on reporting the truth instead of engaging in partisan debates. "We [need] communication that's capable of listening and of gathering voices of weak who have no voice," he said.
