Heavy rains, triggered by Cyclone Ditwah, lashed several parts of Tamil Nadu. Karaikal recorded 191 mm rainfall by 5.30 am, while Nagapattinam witnessed 113 mm rainfall. Chennai Airport has cancelled 47 flights scheduled for Sunday, including 36 domestic and 11 international services. The storm has now weakened as it approached the coastline, and a landfall is unlikely to happen.
