The mysterious "little red dots" spotted by James Webb Telescope in 2022 may be nurseries of supermassive black holes, a study stated. These compact, star-forming galaxies host extremely dense cores where rapid gas collapse could trigger black hole growth. Their intense redness and unusually high hydrogen emission velocities suggest they might show active, early black hole formation within them.
