The Supreme Court said on Tuesday that issuing directions to the Election Commission to conduct the nationwide Special Intensive Revision (SIR) would be an interference. The apex court stated that conducting the SIR in Bihar is the "prerogative and exclusive domain of the Election Commission". This comes before the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, which will be held in two phases.
