Speaking at the Global Fintech Fest 2025, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said technology should not be weaponised and must serve the public good. She urged the attendees to leverage AI to build a financial ecosystem that is more inclusive, resilient and sustainable. "Fintech in India is not a niche urban convenience. It's a nationwide enabler of economic empowerment," she added.
