The Ministry of External Affairs confirmed that 27 Indians are currently serving in the Russian army. "We're in close touch with their family members...We've raised this issue strongly to release our citizens," MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said. He added, "We once again strongly urge all Indians to stay away from the offers being made to serve in the Russian army."
