The representation of women in the student body of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has fallen from 51.1% in 2016-17 to 43.1% in 2024-25. This is as per a report released by Jawaharlal Nehru University Teachers’ Association (JNUTA) on Wednesday. The number of SC students declined by 23.8% between 2021-22 and 2024-25, and ST students dropped by 26.4%.
