US auto giant Ford has signed an MoU with the Tamil Nadu government to revive its existing plant in the state to produce 2.35 lakh “next-generation” engines per year by 2029. The company will invest around ₹3,250 crore to resume operations. This comes nearly four years after the carmaker halted production in India after a three-decade-long stint.
