A lump sum investment of ₹4 lakh in mutual funds for a period of 10 years, assuming an annual interest rate of 12%, could grow to ₹12.42 lakh, according to NDTV Profit. The same investment could rise to ₹10.37 lakh and over ₹8 lakh in case of gold and FD, respectively. The calculation assumes gold to give 10% annual returns.
