The principal of a government school in Andhra Pradesh's Alluri Sitharamaraju district allegedly cut the hair of around 15 girl students for wearing it down. District Education Officer PB Rao said an inquiry was conducted and the principal claimed that she took the action to "inculcate discipline". Some students also claimed principal beat them for being late for school assembly.
