Israel's top military legal officer Major-General Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi has resigned after admitting she approved the leak of a video that showed soldiers abusing a Palestinian detainee. The video, which showed a Palestinian arrested during Gaza war, was leaked in August 2024. Tomer-Yerushalmi said she leaked the video to fend off propaganda against the military's legal department.
