Uttar Pradesh Electricity Department and local police launched a bulldozer drive to clear illegal encroachments in Sambhal. SDO Santosh Tripathi said that several structures, including homes, had encroached on public property and are involved in power theft without proper connections or meters. He said few residents had even made such encroachments that electricity pole was inside their house.
