Railways launched Sanganeri print blankets in AC coaches to address long-standing passenger concerns about hygiene of shared blankets. Each passenger will now receive a freshly laundered, printed cover. Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said the fabric for these covers was chosen for durability, easy maintenance, and long-lasting prints, adding it would also promote traditional Indian textiles.
