Billionaire Tim Cook will step down as Apple CEO as soon as next year, according to a Financial Times report. As per the report, the tech giant has accelerated its succession planning due to this, with Hardware Engineering Senior VP John Ternus as the front-runner. Cook took over the post in 2011, following the resignation of Apple Co-Founder Steve Jobs.
