US President-elect Donald Trump finalised former top spy John Ratcliffe as Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director in his new administration. Ratcliffe served as Director of National Intelligence from May 2020 until January 2021 and has also been a co-chair of the Center for American Security- a pro-Trump think tank. He advised Trump on national security policy during his 2024 campaign.
