A study published in the New England Journal of Medicine has claimed to discover a new treatment that could free diabetic people from insulin injections. A total of 12 people with type 1 diabetes were given an advanced stem cell therapy. A year after the treatment, 10 out of 12 (83%) participants no longer needed supplemental insulin.
