Three mathematicians from UK's University of Oxford have won the 2025 London Mathematical Society prizes. Indian-origin mathematician Vidit Nanda, who works at the interface of algebraic topology, geometry and data science, won a Whitehead Prize. Oxford's Savilian Professor of Geometry Nigel Hitchin won the De Morgan Medal and mathematical biology expert Helen Byrne has won the Naylor Prize.
