China is ready to be "partners and friends" with the US, said Ambassador Xie Feng, emphasising mutual cooperation in areas like trade, agriculture, AI, and public health. "It's entirely possible to bring issues to the table to communicate frankly, seek solutions on equal footing," he said. He added that China has no plan to surpass or replace the United States.
