Amid the Cabinet expansion in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena leader Narendra Bhondekar resigned from the post of deputy leader of the party after being denied a ministerial berth on Sunday. Union Minister Ramdas Athawale also expressed displeasure over the expansion, stating that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had promised him a ministerial post, but failed to deliver.
