After US Vice-President JD Vance said he hoped his Hindu wife, Usha Vance, would convert to Christianity, former adviser to ex-President Joe Biden, Ajay Jain Bhutoria, demanded a public apology from Vance, saying, "America deserves better." He said, "As husbands, fathers...we've a sacred duty to uplift...not undermine, those closest to us." He added that Vance's comments reflected "poor politics".
