Dulux paint maker AkzoNobel has agreed to merge with rival Axalta Coating Systems to create a global coatings company with an enterprise value of around $25 billion. Under the deal, AkzoNobel shareholders will own 55% of the merged company, while Axalta investors will own the remaining 45%. The merger is expected to be completed by late 2026 or early 2027.
