On September 12, the Supreme Court will hear actor-politician Kangana Ranaut's plea to drop a defamation case over her farmers' protest tweet. It stemmed from Ranaut's "defamatory" retweet about a woman protestor during the 2020-2021 farmers' protest. The case was filed by Mahinder Kaur (73) in 2021, alleging "false imputations and remarks".
