The investigation into the Ramabai building collapse in Virar, which resulted in 17 deaths, has been handed over to the Crime Branch Unit 3. Builder Nittal Gopinath Sane was initially arrested in connection with the case. Subsequently, Shubhangi Bhoir, Sandhya Patil, Surendra Bhoir, and Mangesh Patil were also taken into custody.
