A Russian expert said Russia's reported sale of engines for JF-17 fighter jets to Pakistan "actually benefits India". It shows that China and Pakistan haven't yet managed to replace the Russian-origin engine, said Pyotr Topychkanov of Primakov Institute. The new jets will be "familiar and predictable to India" as India observed JF-17's operational use during Operation Sindoor, he added.
