Group of Ministers (GoM), which deliberates on GST-related decisions, is looking to raise affordable housing price limit from ₹45 lakh/unit to ₹56 lakh/unit, CNBC-TV18 reported. This will make more houses eligible for 1% GST rate on affordable housing without input tax credit. GoM also discussed if GST should apply only on construction cost and not on housing projects' land component.
