A controversy erupted after Mysuru City Corporation proposed to rename a stretch of the KRS Road as "Siddaramaiah Aarogya Marg" after Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah. The JD(S) condemned the decision, saying, "Renaming the road after the corrupt CM Siddaramaiah, who has exploited MUDA, isn't only an insult to the historic city...Mysuru but also a betrayal and disgrace to the entire state."
