Researchers have developed a new graphene-based sensor that, with AI, achieved a near-human sense of taste. By using sample chemicals like salty sodium chloride and bitter magnesium sulfate, they trained the device to link flavours to chemical structures. It then identified flavours in unknown substances with nearly 90% accuracy and could even learn complex tastes like coffee and cola.
