The Allahabad High Court raised concern over "extremely slow" internet in UP's border districts, including Bahraich, and directed the Centre to file an affidavit on steps to improve telecom connectivity in the regions. The court observed that poor connectivity is affecting students' education. Calling it a "very serious" issue, the court said it's a "violation of the right to education".
