Indian-origin Karthik Ramakrishnan, a 13-year Amazon veteran and the VP who oversaw the firm's artificial general intelligence (AGI) project, has stepped down, Reuters reported. AGI is a technology that, if perfected, could automate work done by humans like warfare, healthcare and stock trading. This comes amid departure of Amazon's heads leading generative AI development and AWS global startups.
