The men who were accused of smuggling an Indian family, who froze to death near US-Canada border, have pleaded not guilty to human smuggling charges. Harshkumar Patel, who entered his plea during a teleconference with a US judge, had hired Steven Shand to drive the victims to Chicago area. The victims were found lying frozen in a field in Manitoba.
