Ex-India all-rounder Irfan Pathan, commenting on Sanju Samson's batting position, said while flexibility is important, one shouldn't become so elastic that they lose the stability that comes with having defined roles in the name of flexibility. He noted that although Samson currently receives team support in new role, it can fade quickly if he suffers three or four consecutive failures.
