Researchers found that drinking coffee may protect against atrial fibrillation (A-Fib), a common heart rhythm disorder that causes rapid, irregular heartbeat and can lead to stroke and heart failure, according to a study published in JAMA. The study analysed 200 patients with irregular heartbeats and found that those who consumed coffee had a 39% lower risk of recurrent A-Fib episodes.
