PM Narendra Modi went to International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) during his visit to France. It is an experimental machine devised to control energy of fusion. Neutrons are absorbed by the surrounding walls of the machine, where their kinetic energy is transferred to the walls as heat. This heat is used produce steam and then electricity using turbines and alternators.
