European Commission (EC) fined Meta nearly €800 million (₹7,100 crore) over "abusive practices" benefitting online advertisements service Facebook Marketplace. EC said Meta's unfair practices included tying Facebook Marketplace to Facebook, which exposed all users of the social media network to the ads service. Meta also imposed unfair trading conditions on other ads service providers, EC added.
