Inspector Ashish Sharma, part of MP's elite anti-Maoist unit Hawk Force, was recently killed in action during an encounter with armed Maoists near the Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh-Maharashtra tri-junction. He had earlier received two gallantry medals for his service. Reports said the inspector was going to get married in January next year.
