RBI has appointed Sonali Sen Gupta as its new Executive Director, effective October 9, the central bank said on Saturday. Gupta has over three decades of experience in RBI, and before her appointment, she was serving as the central bank's Regional Director for Karnataka. She will now oversee Consumer Education and Protection, Financial Inclusion and Development, and the Inspection departments.
