In another setback for Mahagathbandhan, EC has cancelled the nomination of RJD candidate Shweta Suman from Mohania. Her nomination was cancelled as she showed her native place as UP's Chandauli during 2020 Bihar elections, but listed her residence in Bihar this time. Nomination of Vikassheel Insaan Party's (VIP) candidate Shashi Bhushan Singh, another Mahagathbandhan ally, was cancelled earlier.
