A massive earthquake struck Russia's far eastern Kamchatka region on Friday. The US Geological Survey said the earthquake was measured at a magnitude of 7.8 and at a depth of 10 km. The remote Kamchatka region has been hit by several earthquakes over the past two months, including ones of magnitude 8.8, and two of magnitude 7.4.
