Delhi CM Rekha Gupta announced on the 79th Independence Day that the government will open 'Atal Canteen' in Delhi that will offer food to workers at ₹5. CM Rekha stated that canteens will provide full meals to everyone. Earlier, the Delhi government had allocated ₹100 crore in the 2025-26 Budget to establish 100 Atal Canteens across the National capital.
