Jan Suraaj Party candidate and mathematician KC Sinha, reportedly the most educated candidate in the Bihar Assembly polls, lost from the Kumhrar seat. He was defeated by the BJP's Sanjay Kumar. Sinha topped the Bihar board examinations and earned a National Merit Scholarship. He holds a PhD and wrote his first book at the age of 28.
