Intel's CTO and AI Officer, Sachin Katti, left the firm on Monday to move to OpenAI, where he will design and build compute infrastructure to power the company's AGI research. This comes days after Saurabh Kulkarni, its Corporate VP of Datacenter GPU Product Management, joined AMD. Notably, CEO Lip-Bu Tan would oversee the chipmaker's AI efforts as the executive departed.
