Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray said that GST rationalisation is a "bad decision being corrected" and instead of "apologising, the government is arrogantly marketing it as a gift". Thackeray said the government had imposed a wrong GST structure earlier and now seeks to correct it. The GST Council recently approved a two-tier rate structure of 5% and 18%.
