A couple from Punjab’s Mansa district allegedly sold their five-month-old son for ₹1.8 lakh to fund their drug addiction. The case came to light after the child’s maternal aunt approached the police to reunite the infant with his biological parents. The child’s 19-year-old mother was reportedly once a state-level wrestler but got hooked on drugs after seeing her husband's addiction.
